Cead mile failte, translates to “a hundred thousand welcomes”.
The Irish Times Restaurant is the first authentic Irish restaurant in the greater Knoxville area and we have been a family run business since we opened at the end of 2006.
Owners Jon and Rachel Ferrie are both Irish and EnglisH and it was here in Knoxville where they met up with General Manager, Colm Doyle a fellow Irishman; Assistant Manager, Kris Johnson from East Tennessee.
We would like to officially congratulate our new Executive Chef, Chef Aaron Chambers on his promotion from Sous Chef. Chef Chambers has worked for The Irish Times since August 2011. He graduated in 2009 from the Connecticut Culinary Institute with an Advanced Culinary Arts Degree. We are pleased to have Chef Aaron leading our culinary team as we explore both traditional and contemporary Irish and Irish-American cuisine.
“We enjoy the warmth and friendliness of the Knoxville folks. It reminds us very much of the folks back home. Thank you for dining with us and God Bless.”
